The Hang-out was a popular destination for beach-goers beginning in the 1950’s until it was destroyed by Hurricane Ivan in 2004. The re-design of the Hang-out features a large restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, multiple bars, playground, foam party area, and several seating areas with firepits that overlook the beach. The Hang-Out is popular for year-around events including the annual Hang-Out Fest. Photography by Tony Thagard.
