The Gulf Shores Zoo is a 25-acre modern wildlife park dedicated to education, conservation, and family entertainment. The facility encompasses 16 buildings, including a restaurant and event center, along with multiple animal enclosures and bio-habitats designed to support a diverse range of wildlife. The project incorporates a variety of construction types, including concrete masonry block, pre-engineered metal building (PEMB), metal stud, and wood-frame construction. McCollough Architecture collaborated with landscape architects WAS Design on the master site plan and provided architectural design services for the project, helping create an engaging environment that integrates wildlife habitats, educational experiences, and visitor amenities for the City of Gulf Shores and surrounding areas to enjoy.
