Orange Beach-based McCollough Architecture was chosen by the Foley City Council on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, to design a pedestrian bridge that will span Ala. 59. The firm’s preliminary design, which will likely be adjusted when input is received from the public at a Jan. 16 meeting, is said to incorporate the rich historical background of Foley, paying homage to the railroad and responding to elements reminiscent of the existing Heritage Park and surrounding architecture.” (City of Foley)
